This is a photograph by my friend Kramer O’Neill from his series ‘Til Human Voices Wake Us.’

Yimmy Yaho doesn’t seem to think it’s necessary to give credit on his Tumblr. It’s really a shame that people re-blog mindlessly without thinking about crediting the photographer. Although a rather absurd note is included about copyright. 

This imagery is not being presented as my own, unless noted under the specific work. Copyright still belongs to the owner / creator of said work and this blog is receiving no financial benefits from it’s use. 

I wonder if Yimmy has ever heard of orphan works? Or if he’s really put any thought into the implication of sharing work uncredited on the internet. I doubt it. 

My friends, this sort of crap is one of the major drawbacks of Tumblr and I hope the very intelligent and vibrant community here can create enough social pressure to make this sort of practice obsolete.
